They Ask Me...

"John, why didn't you ever stop? Why didn't you cry when Dad was killed?"

The answer is simple, guys. I have to keep moving. I have to make Dad proud even though he's dead. He's still watching me, so I gotta be sure that I'm making him feel great about raising such a kid like me. You all might also be thinking its gotta be fun sometimes, too... Being able to do what you want, when you want, and not having to worry about death too much. Well, its not quite like that. I miss Dad. A lot. And its hard work to be the Heir of Breath... I have to see quite a bit of blood and death.

I'm only 13, I'm a god, but Dad is dead and a bunch of people are depending on me. I'm not so sure how much more I could do, though. I try and keep a positive attitude as much as I can. It's hard, but I know I can do it.

Things are different now. I don't really like it, either. We all used to be so carefree and we loved having fun on Pesterchum. Now its all complicated. We're all discovering new things... We're all gods with huge responsibilities. It's not fun. Fun was when I was back gardening in my house. Fun was playing with Bec. Fun was messing around with Squiddles. Fun was talking to my friends, John Egbert, Rose Lalonde, and Dave Strider. Not the Heir of Breath, not the Seer of Light, and not the Knight of Time.
I don't like controlling planets. I don't like being the Witch of Space. I don't want others to depend so heavily on me. I just want to be Jade Harley.
